* The dubbed audios for S01 were inherently AAC on Netflix. I crossed referenced ***several*** sources in other formats and the AAC audio always ended up being better. The audio needed to be edited to match the Blu-ray, so a lossless format (FLAC) was used to retain quality.

- The PAS subtitles use a fan translation. I took their styling for signs/OPs/EDs and added the Netflix translation for dialogue. I have cross-referenced the fansubs and the Netflix translation multiple times and the Netflix one seems to be the most competent and well-worded, disregarding some of their name changes (which aren't relevant at all anymore).
- I didn't make too many changes to the base Netflix subs, aside from mass replacing certain names like "Rouis" to "Louis" and "Hal" to "Haru", and various other miscellaneous characters. I did also adjust the existing fansub signs to reflect the names that I changed them to.
- I added translations for the OP and ED credits. These were mostly sourced from [KeyFrame Staff List](https://keyframe-staff-list.com/).
- Lyrics for the various inserts were also added by me.
- The Japanese closed captions came from Netflix and were the only other track besides English that were synced to the Blu-rays. Only thing altered with these is that lyrics for the OPs/EDs were added.
### Notes
- For some reason, no single Netflix WEB-DL I could find had all of the audio/subtitles, every source was inconsistent. This one is here to break that trend. I had Fred Flanders personally give me a fresh rip off of Netflix with EVERYTHING. Netflix had 13 audio tracks and 32 subtitle options. Only one of those audio tracks wasn't included, that obviously being the regular Japanese audio since that's on the JPBD in PCM.
- # This is intended to be a master release of BEASTARS.
1. JPBD remuxes
2. Best quality synced audio for all languages
3. Comprehensive English subs
4. A consistent source for subs in other languages
All of these things make this release pretty definitive. People are free to make their own encodes based off of this release, removing/adding/compressing/changing/syncing/styling/etc. things as they see fit, so long as all of the people involved in this release are properly credited.
### Extras
- ***Soundtrack***: Some things were digital only, in which case I took them from whatever source was the best and most convenient. But if it was on CD, I made sure to grab a rip of that. This should be pretty comprehensive. There's a lot of weird minute shit that I kept finding in listings that I couldn't find online in decent quality, but I really don't think any of it is what most people would even care about. I feel like what *is* here would do most of y'all just fine.

- ***Blu-ray Menus***: Self-explanatory. Courtesy of BDMVs and kneelack.
- ***NCOPs & NCEDs***: Self-explanatory. Includes stylized lyrics, Japanese captions, and a stylized Romanization (Romaji) track, courtesy of kneelack.
- ***Netflix Subtitles***: **ALL** of the subtitles that were available on Netflix, of which there were 32 overall (across 27 languages, including Japanese captions). These are completely untouched by me. So if you don't trust what I did with the Netflix subs, or if you speak another language, then these are here for you.
- ***Other Subtitles***: What it says on the tin. These are literally just whatever subs I could find on other releases. Don't expect consistency or anything of quality with these.
- ###### ***List of Netflix Subtitles***: Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese (Signs), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, English (Signs), European Portuguese, Finnish, French, French (Signs), German, German (Signs), Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Italian (Signs), Japanese (Closed Captions), Latin American Spanish, Mainland Mandarin, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Polish (Signs), Romanian, Russian, South Korean, Taiwanese Mandarin

### Questions
***Will you be doing seasons 02 and 03?***
- Yes, I am currently working on season 02 as we speak. I will update this post with a link to it when it is out. Expect the same quality and standards for that.
***What source will you use for season 03? Will you wait for the Blu-rays?***
- My plan here is to release each season individually. For season 03, I don't just want to sit on my hands and not work on it until the Blu-rays are all out, which will take months. What I'll do for season 03 is get what I can done using the Netflix WEB-DLs and release it with that. Then, when ***all*** of the Blu-rays are out, I'll re-time and sync everything to those and release a v2. Or maybe a batch. I'm not sure yet.
***Will you release season 03 in two parts or as one whole?***
- One whole. So season 03 will take the longest to do by far.
'Benko out. Kill a bear, fuck a hare, and eat a deer.
